Hvordan vil statsråden sikre at CRPD blir inkorporert i menneskerettsloven så fort som mulig?

Stortingsrepresentant Andreas Sjalg Unneland (SV) stiller spørsmål til justis- og beredskapsminister Emilie Mehl (Sp) om når FN-konvensjonen om rettighetene til mennesker med nedsatt funksjonsevne vil bli inkorporert i menneskerettighetsloven.

Spørsmålet begrunnes med:

I Hurdalsplattformen skriver regjeringen at den vil inkorporere FNs konvensjon om rettighetene til personer med nedsatt funksjonsevne (CRPD) i norsk lov.

Norge har verken inkorporert FNs konvensjon for rettighetene til personer med nedsatt funksjonsevne (CRPD) i norsk lov eller ratifisert tilleggsprotokollen som gir individuell klagerett etter at en har fått prøvd sin sak i våre rettsinstanser. Dette gjør at personer med funksjonsnedsettelse ikke likestilles med andre diskriminerte grupper. Arbeidet med å inkorporere CRPD i norsk lov og ratifisere tilleggsprotokollen om individuell klagerett er sentralt for å sikre en offensiv likestillingspolitikk som bidrar til at alle blir inkluderte i samfunnet, og det er viktig at et slikt arbeid igangsettes raskest mulig.
