Funksjonshemmedes organisasjoner ber Idrettstinget 2021 bidra til at paraidretten blir likestilt med annen idrett.
This is an interesting topic as listening skills are certainly a skill set that I believe everyone can improve on always. When someone has not stopped talking and I am listening, I watch for my conversation with myself in my head…because once the conversation in my head starts…I then am not listening either. I find that others who are talking fast will stop if I am fully listening and ask a question to them. When I ask questions in regards to what they are saying, they feel heard and understood. I am listening and I can ask them for clarity which can relax them more.
For me, I have found that if I talk a lot fast…I have a feeling of urgency to get it all out in a hurry. And yes, sometimes without regard for the receiver. So as the receiver, I’ll stop to ask them a question…”Are you feeling urgent about getting your omegle video call or thoughts to me?”…I wait for the answer and it is usually…yes. Upon which I reply…” I promise to listen to you and I am wondering if you would be willing to slow down because you are talking so fast and urgently…would that be okay?” and usually I get a yes, and a better dialog from a calmer person.
Listening is such an important skill set and this is such a Great article and topic I will tweet and stumble
